Team Care About You
Hello, I hope all is well. The wrath of Hurricane Sandy is in full effect. I hope that you and your Senior Loved One (SLO) are safe and sound in the comfort of your home or in a safe place. The most important thing at this point is to remain calm. You are able to make more sound decisions, when you remain calm.

Hello, I hope all is well. Yes, 7 ways YOU can make a difference.
The Farmer’s Market program operates from June 1 to November 30, each year. These vouchers are good from June 1, 2012 – November 30.The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is available in 51 state agencies and federally recognized Indian Tribal Organizations, click here for detailed information: http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/seniorFMNP/seniorfmnpoverview.htm
Seniors can receive four $5 vouchers to use at participating farmers markets. To qualify, seniors must be at least 60 years old and earned income not to exceed 185% of the federal defined poverty level.
In order to receive these vouchers, seniors must complete an application and submit proof of income.
Now, we cannot forget about our homebound seniors, seniors with little or no mobility, and seniors who need help completing this application. As caregivers, family members, and friends we can ease the worry and help our seniors. You can help make a difference in your Senior Loved One’s life.
Here are ways you can make a difference and help our seniors:
By helping our seniors with this task, our seniors will be able to purchase healthy fruits and vegetables. This is all part of making a difference in someone life! Seniors will receive a list of eligible fruits and vegetables with their vouchers.
Please call your local Senior Services Department to get an application to apply.
We have to do all we can to help our Senior Loved One(s) live their best life, which includes healthy eating.
The power of caring allows us to show our love and care for our seniors!
Forever care,
Angela McKnight, Founder Care About You
