Hello my readers,
It takes time and patience to care for your Senior Loved One (SLO) who has Alzheimer or Dementia. You may feel angry that you don’t have the golden key to correct the issue. I felt the same way. It frustrated me knowing that I did not have the solution to correct my mom’s dementia.
However, with ongoing research, we will learn much more about this disease and hopefully find a way to reverse the damage or even prevent it.
With the help from Alzheimer Association on May 15, 2011 from 7:30 – 8:30 pm (today)…
“advocates will gather at the nation’s Capital, share their stories and light candles in honor of loved ones. This moving ceremony is part of the Alzheimer’s Association Advocacy Forum.”
You can join other advocates and support the cause in person. In addition, you can log on http://www.alz.org/virtualrally/overview.asp?type=homepageflash and light a candle in remembrance of your loved one. There are more than 17,800 candles already lit. This is such a great showcase to show the many people who want to find a way to stop and/or prevent this disease while remembering their loved one. The power of caring goes a long way and it will indeed prevail.
